Raising sails and raising funds!
Since 1993, participants in Leukemia Cup Regatta events throughout the country have raised over $44 million in funding for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Thanks to people like Gary Jobson who not only is a lymphoma survivor, but the winner of the 1976 America’s Cup, an ESPN commentator and the chairperson of The Leukemia Cup campaign since its inception, the sailing community provides even more support year after year.
![]() | Illinois Leukemia Cup Regatta - August 23 & 24, 2013 Last year, sailors and power boaters raised more than $370,000 toward a world without blood cancers. It’s support like this that has enabled LLS over the years to fund research and discover new drug therapies, bringing us closer to cures. Sailors like you have fundraised to help LLS invest more than $875 million in better cancer treatments. Most people have been touched by cancer. This is how sailors give back. With your support, we can beat cancer! E-mail Chuck Bricker at chuck.bricker@lls.org to set up your own online fundraising page and have the opportunity to join Gary Jobson on a Fantasy Sail! |
